Madhuri Dixit

Madhuri is an Indian actress, who gained fame for her role in Hum Aapke Hain Koun as well as Beta Saajan. In the late 80s the actress began her acting career and became well-known for the character Tezaab, in which she starred alongside the veteran actor Anil Kapooor. Her next appearance was in Dil which she starred alongside Aamir. In Mumbai her home, she grew up in a family of middle-class parents. When she was a young age, she started to take dance lessons. She started acting when an infant and was struggling through a couple of years since the majority of her first film projects were unsuccessful. Eventually, she found success in Indian filmmaking and rose to the very top. She took a break from her career following her marriage before returning to the industry of entertainment. In recent years, Dixit had a major role to play as a character in Gulaab Gang a movie about the struggles of women in India. Dixit was nominated 15 times for Filmfare Awards. She won eight of these. Padma Shri, the fourth-highest civilian prize given to civilians in India is bestowed to her. The award was also given to her by the field of social work.
