Rosalia Vila also known as Rosalia is an Spanish flamenco and pop performer. She has been a part of the fringes of popular and traditional music since she was a teenager, she also delves into other genres such as the hip hop soul genre and trap. The flamenco guitar player Pepe habichuela characterized her voice as delicate and sharp, however she still having the grit of more mature singers. Her debut album Los Angeles garnered attention from the U.S. public and earned her the Latin Grammy nomination for Best New Artist the follow-up album for 2018 El Mal Querer was a huge commercial and critical hit making it to the top of the Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart and finally receiving the Grammy. La Fama, featuring The Weeknd is due out in 2021. Motomami featured songwriting partnerships with a variety of artists, including Cory Henry, James Blake and others. The set was released in March 2022 following a performance of the single Chicken Teriyaki on Saturday Night Live. Rosalia was the first Spanish solo artist to perform on Saturday Night Live. Motomami was her album which won three Latin Grammy Awards also made Rosalia the first female artist to win the Latin Album of the Year be awarded twice.
